59 percent of Americans think Christianity is under attack here. 81 percent disagree with the statement that religion should be "excluded from public life. 93 percent want "In God WE Trust" to remain on our currency and coinage. 90 percent are for keeping "One Nation Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. 76 percent say public display of the Ten Commandments should be legal. 82 percent favor voluntary school prayer, 77 percent believe " the courts have gone too far in taking religion out of public life"

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?
|||||||||||||||||
Since 1947, decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court erroneously interpreting the First Amendment have resulted in the theft of our Christian heritage. In 2004 no less than five books were written by distinguished authors on the need to rein in a runaway federal judiciary..

From 1947 to 2006, 59 long years, the U.S. Senate has voted ONLY ONCE to stop the theft. Namely, in 1984, when a proposed Constitutional Amendment to allow voluntary prayer in Public Schools came within One vote of passing. Since the Republicans took over control of both Houses of Congress in 1994, the House, but not the Senate, has voted on this issue. In 1998, a Constitutional Amendment (H.J.Res 78) to allow voluntary prayer in public schools passed 224 to 203, but did not reach the required two-thirds vote. Almost eighty-seven percent of the Republicans supported it, but only slightly more than thirteen percent of the Democrats voted for it.
